Amber Neko Meador is an indie author, filmmaker, digital artist, and podcast host. Amber grew up in the fundamentally conservative Southeast. She's a devotee of George Lucas, the Wachowskis, Masamune Shirow, Robert Heinlein, cyberpunk, and science fiction.
Amber likes to dabble in a little bit of everything. She has been a part of making indie and short flicks for over a decade, either behind the camera or in front of it. She also likes to play with ideas in speculative fiction from time to time when the mood strikes. Calling Amber a movie buff would probably be an understatement, she is one of those people who knows that fan is short for fanatic. Her devotion to science fiction and fantasy started early with writers like Robert A. Heinlein, and R.A. Salvatore, and hasn’t stopped since. In her free time Amber likes to play video games, make bad art, and podcast about things both super nerdy, and things closer to home. She’ll probably beat you in any game of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit you’re willing to play with her, and she’ll let you know if you’re breaking any rules in Dungeons & Dragons. All in all, Amber is a geek of a different color, and is always down for something new and interesting when it comes along.
