KJ Kabza has sold over 50 stories to venues such as F&SF, Nature, Daily Science Fiction, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Buzzy Mag, and many more. He’s been anthologized in The Year’s Best Dark Fantasy and Horror: 2014 (Prime Books), The Best Horror of the Year, Volume Six (Night Shade Books), The Best of Every Day Fiction 2008, and The Best of Beneath Ceaseless Skies Online Magazine, Year 2. His senior project for his B.A. in Creative Writing was a werewolf novel, and his life and career have unfolded predictably ever since.
KJ currently lives in sunny Tucson, where he spends several hours each week on roller skates and among cactuses (though not simultaneously). He loves to travel, and has been to Iceland, Scotland, England, Canada, Japan, and locales in the USA too numerous to list. One year he even lived out of a suitcase and a backpack, touring the USA on a grand and ill-informed odyssey. (True story.) (He recommends it heartily.)
Since 2002, KJ has been selling short fiction, which critics have called, “Worthy of Edgar Allan Poe” (SFcrowsnest), “Fascinating, unique, imaginative” (SFRevu), “Intelligent and sublime – a powerful combination” (Tangent), and “RECOMMENDED” (SFF World).
If you would like to investigate these claims, he invites you to read his free fiction online, buy the omnibus collections “In Pieces” and “Under Stars,” or sign up for his mailing list to receive notices of new publications.
