Kurt Kirchmeier lives and writes in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. His fiction has appeared in a variety of magazines and anthologies including Space & Time, Shimmer, Tesseracts 15, and Weird Tales.
Although most of Kurt’s work could be categorized as contemporary fantasy, he’s also written numerous science fiction and horror stories, as well as the odd humor and non-genre piece. Kurt’s literary influences include Ray Bradbury, Charles de Lint, Kate Dicamillo, and Robert McCammon. In addition to writing fiction, Kurt is also a published poet, artist and photographer. He wishes there were hours in the day to pursue all of his interests and passions. He’s currently working on a few middle grade fantasy novels and a photo and poetry book about birds. When he isn’t feeling creative, Kurt can often be found reading or spending time outdoors with his wonderful wife, Anna. They’ve recently taken up snowshoeing.
