Patricia S. Bowne

Patricia S. Bowne

Patricia S. Bowne has taught physiology for almost 30 years, none of them in hell. Her students have never done quite as interesting a lab project as this one, but she never gives up hoping…and she wishes to remind readers that Feb 25, 2015, is the first National Adjunct Walkout Day.

Patricia writes academic fantasy. Miss Mentor at The Chronicle of Higher Education gave her credit for pioneering a new genre, but others had done it before … Swept and Garnished, her third novel about life in the Demonology Department of a modern university, was issued in September 2014. The novels and novellas are available from her Amazon page. Her short stories have appeared in Year’s Best Fantasy 3, Unsettling Wonder, Lorelei Signal, Rose Red Review, and most recently in Third Flatiron Press‘s Abbreviated Epics anthology. More stories are due to appear in Penumbra and Nordland Press‘s Affinity Series. The best way to keep up with all this, and to find links to free-to-read stories as they appear, is to check her web page at www.raosyth.com.
